Tuscola High School is located in Haywood County in the Great Smoky Mountain region of Western North Carolina. Average student population is about 1000 students. The FFA organization typically has about 100 members. The community is a mix of rural and suburban. Waynesville, the county seat, has a population of approximately 10,000.
Agriculture Educators
Traci Bricker joins us from Virginia, and is in her 8th year of teaching Agriculture Education in North Carolina. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Animal and Poultry Sciences and received her Masters in Agriculture Education from NC State. Both agriculture and history are her passions, as she also received a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia. She loves spending time with her family, including her husband Jesse and dog Orlaith. Cinnamon, her quarter horse, will join the family in WNC soon. Sherman Holt joins us from Leicester, NC and is in his 8th year of teaching Agriculture Education. He received his B.S. from Appalachian State where he played football for the Mountaineers.
